Danie van Wijk (Director) – Profile
In 1999 he enrolled as Candidate Attorney at OJ Botha Attorneys in Pretoria. He completed his articles of clerkship at the Legal Aid Board of South Africa in Pretoria, before successfully passing the Attorneys Admission Examinations during 2008. He has held various positions ranging from Head of Civil Litigation at the Legal Aid Board of South Africa, to Professional Assistant at various firms and Legal Manager. Firms worked for includes Herman Grobler & Partners Attorneys, OJ Botha Attorneys and G R Bornman Attorneys. Has managed the legal department for both Izinga Access (Pty) Ltd and Digicall Assist (Pty) Ltd for a period of 7 years, which mandate included the administration of the Standard Bank Legal Assist product, where he has implemented new strategies and processes in order to reduce loss ratios and improvement of services throughout, making it a viable and profitable scheme. Prepared training programs and provided training to personnel and agents of several other companies, including O’Keeffe & Swartz, in order to improve sales and customer satisfaction in terms of its legal assistance products. He has been a Director of Van Wijk-Van Zyl Consulting Group for the past 2 years.
Francois van Zyl (Director) – Profile
Francois Robert Van Zyl is the co-director at Van Wijk-Van Zyl Consulting Group and head of the company’s Legal and Compliance Department. Whilst busy studying, he enrolled as Candidate Attorney at Botha Willemse & Wilkinson Attorneys in 2009 and continued with his articles at Dyason Attorneys during 2010 where he soon completed his LLB Law studies at the University of South Africa in 2012. Mr Van Zyl successfully completed the Attorneys’ Board Examinations and got admitted as a practising Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2013. With an overall 10 years legal experience, he obtained extensive knowledge in various fields of law practice, has written for the attorneys journal, De Rebus, and appeared on radio interviews on various occasions. Mr Van Zyl has since left private practice to pursue his ideals in the corporate world. As an entrepreneur he believes in the ethics of good business and strives to enhance the economy by protecting the interests of all who live in it.
